Vidyut Jammwal is preparing for his next release, Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2, Agni Pariksha. The actor will reprise his role as Samir in the film, and this time, he must save his daughter. It has been 12 years since Vidyut entered the industry, the actor has also worked in the Telugu and Tamil language industries. In an exclusive interview, Vidyut talks about the ongoing North-South debate in the film industry and shares his thoughts.

Speaking to us, he said: “It’s a great time. I think people have started to enjoy movies in a very different way. I’ve been watching dubbed southern movies my whole life. Like I’ve always loved southern movies Same with our Hindi movies. I also love Punjabi cinemas. For me, I really don’t think the whole north-south division is going to work in my head.”

He also added that as a soldier, he only recognizes the entire country. He added: “Like I’ve been saying, I’m a military man. If you’re the son of a military man, you don’t see them that way. When my father was posted in Jammu and Kashmir, we had Azerbaijan next to us. Sam’s rifle, with the Bihar regiment next to it. So we don’t see north, east, west, south. Neither do I! So anyone who thrives — whether it’s oriental cinema, Punjabi cinema, or any other language — It’s all Indian success for me, so I don’t think so.”

Talking about how Khuds Haafiz’s second chapter is different, Vidyut said: “There is no greater love than parental love. I’ve always heard of it, but as an actor, I’m really experiencing it for the first time. It’s like someone Saying “if my kids are in danger, I can kill for my kids” and I believe them now. It’s an emotion that you can’t experience without being a parent. So for me, when I read the script , I was like ‘oh my god, this is going to be very different’, which is amazing,”.

There is an OTT version of Khuda Haafiz and that is the success of the film, the second part is now in theaters. When asked if the actor felt pressured to be successful the first time, he revealed: “I really believe in one step at a time, forever in life. When we did the first, we hoped, but we really didn’t expect it to be There was such an overwhelming response. When we shot the second part, we didn’t think gosh, we have to serve or whatever. It was like, ‘We have to do it right, we have to do it right’. And when I watched the movie, I just watched the movie recently and I think we did a really good job. I’m very proud of what the director did.”

The team also shot the entire film in real locations, which Vidyut found challenging. He said, “Farouk[Kabir, the director]is like that. He believes in the reality of the movie. In the second part, he did the same thing, with most of the action sequences in real locations. There seems to be a place called Kasawada, and it’s very troublesome to shoot there, it’s not easy at all. Then we go to Egypt, the pyramids, to shoot. The pyramids are sacred to a lot of people. So they are very careful. It wasn’t easy, but when I looked back at the movie, it felt really good.”

Khuda Haafiz Chapter 2 Agni Pariksha will again see Vidyut sharing the screen with Shivaleeka Oberoi. The Faruk Kabir movie opens in cinemas on July 8.
