In the competitive world of film, directors and studios always want to work with each other.

However, the publishing tradition and send congratulations Some of Hollywood’s top directors have shown that the fight for the top spot is healthy.

Twitter posts by a popular Movie Central account called All The Right Movies (@ATRightMovies) show how directors like Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and James Cameron congratulate each other box office success.

In 1977, when George Lucas’ “Star Wars” overtook Steven Spielberg’s “Jaws” as the highest-grossing film of all time, Spielberg Advertised for Lucas in Variety.

The magazine ad shows R2-D2, a fictional droid character from the Star Wars series, hanging a fishing rod on a killer shark – a reference to Jaws. The ad congratulates Lucas on his success.

When Alien ET broke the Star Wars record in 1982, Lucas reciprocated his kindness with a similar congratulatory ad for Spielberg.

Since then, directors like James Cameron and Kevin Feige have regularly posted similar messages or sent messages to each other to surpass previous box office records. More recently, studios like Marvel Studios and Lucasfilm have been sending such notes to each other instead of individual directors.

Commenting on the post, one Twitter user wrote: “This is so rewarding, I love the good sportsmanship between these amazing directors and the studio”.
