Stranger Things’ Joseph Quinn And Noah Schnapp Inspire Bizarre Celebrity Drama With Doja Cat

I’ve been looking for Stranger Things news after season 4, but while I’m usually looking for clues about season 5 or interesting interviews with the cast, there’s one thing the internet won’t shut down about at the moment.

It’s an odd story involving two main actors and a pop star. The actors in question are Joseph Quinn, who played instant fan-favorite rocker Eddie in season 4, and Noah Schnapp, who played Will. Pop star? Doja Cat, is no stranger to drama itself.

Here’s the timeline of events, if you want to understand all this crap:

May 30 – After Season 4 of Stranger Things arrived, Doja Cat tweeted the following, showing her attraction to Quinn. I mean, who can blame her.

June 7 – After the finale, Noah Schnapp posted a now-deleted TikTok that had Doja Cat DM him actually trying to get Quinn’s info:

“Noah, can you tell Joseph? Wait no. Does he have a girlfriend?” she said. He didn’t, Schnapp told her to slip into his DM.

June 8 – Doja Cat went live on Instagram, berating Schnapp for sharing their DMs. Among other things, saying this is “snake or weasel” behavior:

At the same time, Quinn said nothing about it, which might have been a good choice for him.

Now, it’s divided fans from different camps, with many supporting Doja Cat’s attempts to defend her privacy on the one hand, and blaming Schnapp for what she did. On the other hand, others say that 26-year-old Doja Cat probably shouldn’t shame 17-year-old Schnapp because it’s a little weird.

Needless to say, this doesn’t seem to end with Doja Cat and Joseph Quinn dating, just in case that’s anyone’s main concern. I guess it’s a funny celebrity drama, but it’s consumed most of the Stranger Things conversation in the last 72 hours or so. If I were forced to step in, no, you probably shouldn’t be sharing your celebrity friends’ potentially embarrassingly thirsty DMs to millions of TikTok followers. Also, you probably don’t need to publicly criticize and name a 17-year-old Your millions of followers. Of course, Joseph Quinn did nothing wrong other than being hot enough to start it all. Like Netflix’s Troy Helen.

As for Quinn’s future in Stranger Things, he said he’d love to come back, but if you’ve seen the ending, you’ll know it’s going to be some sort of Billy-esque cameo in season 5. But given how he’s always been popular with pop stars and audiences, I’d be surprised if they didn’t get him somewhere.
