Ranbir Kapoor reveals Rishi Kapoor called his films choices ‘bakwaas’: Is this why Ranbir’s films flop?

What do you think of Ranbir Kapoor’s recent comments about his father Rishi Kapoor? Ranbir has said that Rishi called his choices in films ‘bakwaas’ and says it’s this reason why Ranbir’s films flop. Ranbir Kapoor has revealed that he was once deeply hurt by his father, Rishi Kapoor’s opinion of his film choices.

Currently, Ranbir Kapoor is all over the news, with Shamshera being his much-anticipated film, starring Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt, along with Ronit Roy, Saurabh Shukla, and Ashutosh Rana. The actor is currently working hard to promote his new period-action film, which he returns to the silver screen after his 2018 release film, Sanju. It has now come to light in a recent interview that the Ae Dil Hai Mushkil actor’s late father Rishi Kapoor labeled his films ‘bakwaas.’

Ranbir said during the press conference: “He (Rishi Kapoor) would say, ‘Teri film choices ekdum bakwaas hain. Tu aisi film banata hai, that doesn’t reach masses’. Unfortunately, he had not seen the trailer or poster of the film (Shamshera), but I know that he’s somewhere out there, proud and smiling at me.” Further, when asked if Rishi had seen portions of Shamshera, he said that his father and Shamsher director Karan Malhotra worked together in Agneepath and that film brought a lot of fame to him and he was very happy with the impact of the film. “When I signed this film, he (Rishi) was very happy because he always used to complain about my film choices,” said Ranbir.
