Brahmastra has beaten RRR and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 in advance bookings, with 3 days before the movie is released. It is expected to do well on day 1 and the opening weekend.
Brahmastra, which has been made by Karan Johar and directed by Ayan Mukerji, has made a considerably higher start than expected, with around 25,000 tickets having been sold by all three of the big multiplex chains, the very day they became available, and queues yet to clear in certain pockets of the country. This is an encouraging sign for the opening weekend, suggesting that there is genuine interest among the audience to watch the Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt film, which means that the trailer, the songs, and the promotions have all succeeded very well. Now, that number of 25,000 has risen to well over a lakh.
Post-pandemic, Brahamastra takes the best advance bookings
Reports indicate that Ranbir Kapoor’s, Alia Bhatt’s, Mouni Roy’s, Nagarjuna’s, and Amitabh Bachchan’s joint movie Brahmastra is easily the most popular Bollywood film and even during times when it’s usually crowded (back before the pandemic) this one would be considered a success. But now, with no other film releases due, Brahmastra’s getting off to a record-breaking start.
Brahmastra has sold over one lakh tickets in its first day.
Perhaps even more amazing is the fact that Brahmastra Part One Shiva is tracking better at all three of the country’s major theater chains than Rajamouli’s RRR, and has earned more until the morning of September 6th than RRR and even Dharmesh Darshan’s most successful film to date, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. With this in mind, it is currently only behind KGF 2 in terms of advanced ticket sales for day 1, but is at the top of the film’s record-breaking craze and only two days remain before the film’s release. A simple scan of the amazing numbers below is all that’s necessary
The release of RRR (Hindi) on day 1 sold 1.5 lakh tickets – final advance before release
Bool Bhaliayaa 2 – 1.3 lakh tickets sold for first day – final advance before release
Brahmastra – sales of 1.7 tickets for the first day up to Tuesday morning, 3 days left to release
The opening weekend of Brahmastra saw the movie sell over 2 lakh tickets
In this respect, Brahmastra has become the second most popular film of all time among all Indians when it comes to first day box office numbers.
