PHOTO REPORT: Universal Studios Hollywood 7/8/22 (New Super Nintendo World Store, Inflatable Cowboy, New Popcorn Stand, and More)

The site is quiet; we’re ready! We head to Universal Studios Hollywood today for a quick visit to see how things will be after the 4th of July crowds clear (hopefully). So check out everything we found at Universal Studios Hollywood in today’s photo report.

We think these parking additions are just the surge pricing on holiday weekends, but a week later, front door parking is still $70. It’s a banana.

Universal CityWalk Hollywood

Some new elevator entry signs have appeared, as well as windows clinging inside the new Starbucks store entering CityWalk.

Toothsome Chocolate Emporium and Savory Feast Kitchen have been slow. There is a lot of activity, but not much seems to change from week to week.

The trench dug in front of the entrance is now mostly filled, and the interior of the building remains relatively empty.

Speaking of no noticeable changes, it looks like many of the Halloween Horror Nights mazes we’ve been tracking have gotten to the point where the exterior is almost complete and all changes will happen on the inside from now on.

One major change, however, is the quaint Jupiter-claimed town, which is currently being built on location. An inflatable cowboy has been installed to welcome visitors to town.

Upper lot

A new Super Nintendo World room has taken up part of the upper-level Universal Studios store. Check out our store video walkthrough, as well as the construction progress of the Super Nintendo World currently under construction on the lower level.

We’re always introducing more new “ET” merchandise, like this new ball cap.

And there’s also new “Jaws” merchandise coming in. We love the shirt, and the hoodie on the side.

lower lot

A new popcorn stand has been set up in front of the Studio Store in the Lower Lot. They serve drinks, marshmallows, and of course, popcorn among the Minions.

Optimus Prime and Bumblebee greeted guests together again today for the first time in weeks. We ran into the two Autobots last time we were out together, you can check out our full experience on our YouTube channel or click on the video below:

It seems that Lan Fang may be trying to cause trouble for the Triceratops, so it’s time to part ways.

Our martinis for the day came from Hogwarts, and it felt a little cooler on a warm day when Hogsmeade’s roof was surrounded by towering turrets, pines and fake snow.

Thank you for reading our photo coverage of Universal Studios Hollywood with us. It’s a wrap!
