Shroomboom, a mushroom-focused e-commerce brand, has officially launched in Los Angeles to help guests “experience the essence of Shroomboom.”
Celebrity guests such as Google co-founder Sergey Brin, actress and entrepreneur Tallulah WillisFashion designer Alana Hadid, actress Clive StandenBrex co-founder Henrique Dubugras and Luma Beauty founder Jesse Hart was present at the event.

Guests can enjoy a range of fungus-based foods, including burgers, fudge, bread and fondue. They were also invited to try on clothing and footwear made from or inspired by mushrooms. Even the music at the event is mushroom-based, made by connecting the fungus to the sound system.
Promoting fungal-based innovation
Shroomboom by Alejandra Rodriguez used psilocybin while recovering from an eating disorder, and Jennifer Parker, who is passionate about the health benefits of mushrooms. The brand promotes fungus-based innovations across multiple sectors including beauty, health, food, fashion and sustainability.
A report earlier this year found that mushrooms will be a major trend in 2022, with sales rising 16.1% to $420 million. According to the U.S. Collective Mushroom Council, this is the fourth year in a row that experts have identified fungi as the most prevalent trend. A report in February predicted that the global mushroom market will reach $86.5 billion by 2027, growing at a compound annual growth rate of 6.5%.
