Mohit Suri’s performance in the first part, also directed by him, seems to have left a good impression in the audience, along with the positive impact of the music, which helped Ek Villain Returns garner a promising start.

Ek Villain Returns has released today, 29th July

Ek Villain Returns has been released to the theaters. The Mohit Suri directed the film. It is about a rich kid, Gautam (Arjun Kapoor), and struggling singer, Aarvi (Tara Sutaria). Gautam has plans for revenge against Aarvi. Gautam has changed his mind and no longer wants revenge, but things are too messy when Bhairav (John Abraham) and Rasika (Disha Patani) become involved. That said, how is John Abraham, Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria starrer Ek Villain Returns likely to perform at the box office with this inconsistent, unpredictable environment currently going on in theatres?

The performance of Ek Villain in advanced bookings has been quite encouraging, which we predict is due to some positive word of mouth. There is every reason to believe that the first part, also directed by Mohit Suri, will open to a much better opening than expected for John Abraham, Disha Patani, Arjun Kapoor and Tara Sutaria. The soundtrack also has proven popular on some surface level. However, theaters outside the prime metroplexes are scoring the major numbers thus far.

Below is the trailer for Ek Villain Return:

Film review of Ek Villain Returns

BollywoodLife rated the film a mere 1 star and said in their review, In a country, where women are victims of acid attacks just for rejecting a guy; Ek Villain Returns takes things to a whole new level of problematization. It would have been much better for Mohit Suri to make a hilariously bad movie rather than a toxically bad one. Also, you know you’re in trouble when the best actor in an ensemble is Disha Patani.”
