Jennifer Lewis Saying her rising star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame is the biggest award of her illustrious career…she loves it so much, you can find her there every day.
On Friday, as she left the ceremony, we got the “Mother of Black Hollywood” author and “Black” star and asked what her fixation on the Walk of Fame meant to her.
Jenifer told us that when it comes to a show or performance, a star is more important than a trophy because it’s eternal.
Jenifer has great buddies on WoF – her star is parked right next to her Katharine Hepburn – She jokes that she sleeps next to it every night, drives by every day, and tells people not to tread on her good name.
On a more serious note, Jennifer told us she feels overwhelmed by her career milestones – looking back at all the work, both on camera and off the field, to get to that point…including taking care of her bipolar obstacle.
Her famous friends expressed her sincere love at the ceremony…including Brandydirector Debbie Allen‘SNL’ alum Vanessa Bayercomposer Mark Sharman and former ‘Amen’ star Roz Ryan.
Congrats, Jennifer! ! ! Deserved.
