In Laal Singh Chaddha, Aamir Khan explains why his character is Sikh. He might have been of South Indian descent.

Laal Singh Chaddha, in which Kareena Kapoor Khan also appears, will soon be released. Aamir Khan is preparing for it.

Laal Singh Chaddha, starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya, and Mona Singh, will be released soon. Aamir Khan is preparing for it. His return to the big screen after a lengthy absence of four years is marked by this. Inspired by the 1986 book of the same name by Winston Groom, which in turn served as the basis for the 1994 American film Forrest Gump. On August 11th, Laal Singh Chaddha is scheduled for release in theatres. In a recent interview, the actor who is portraying a Sikh character in the movie explained why his character in Laal Singh Chaddha is a Sikh.

Speaking to journalist Baradwaj Rangan, Aamir stated, “Atul (Atul Kulkarni) has already portrayed him as a Sikh in his rendition (of Forrest Gump). We were already reading a Sikh character when we got the script. As a result, it seemed quite spontaneous and natural to us. Therefore, none of us questioned his Sikh faith. However, now that I think about it, he might theoretically be anyone, including a south Indian. But in our timeline of recent socio-political history, 1983–84 was a very significant and challenging period, and the Sikh community faced many challenges at that time, thus I believe Atul did that.

In addition, he stated that he believes Atul tried to deeply evoke the audience’s emotions through the character, the occurrence, and the movie by having the protagonist character a Sikh. Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan will also compete at the box office. The teaser was presented by the producers during the IPL 2022 championship game, and since then, netizens have been praising it on social media. It is said to have been shot in more than 100 different Indian locations. Production on the movie started in 2019, and the first schedule was held in Chandigarh.
