How to Earn More Than $50 in Amazon Credits Ahead of Prime Day (2022)


Amazon Prime Day Deals are just one of the perks of being an Amazon Prime member. Here’s another: Amazon is giving Prime members at least $52 in credit ahead of its big sale July 12-13. We’ve highlighted the best promotions below. These are an easy way to spend money on Amazon, especially if you want to reward yourself (responsibly!) during Prime Day.

We want to stress that most of these promotions require you to spend money to earn points.If you don’t plan to pay to watch light years, for example, then you should not select that promotion. If a promotion is valuable to you, consider it carefully.

Earn up to $52 in points at Amazon

Before we dive into it, there are a few things you should know. First, you need to be a Prime member to use this feature. Second, points are automatically added to eligible accounts upon completion of the criteria for the applicable offer. After adding these points, Amazon will send you an email. Frustratingly, there is no way to view the total balance of promotional points in your Amazon account, but once added, they will automatically apply at checkout to purchases of eligible items shipped and sold by Amazon.

notes: It can take a day or two for points to be added to your account, so it’s best to use them early if you want to earn them in time for Prime Day.

Amazon offers Prime members a $10 credit toward completing a promotional stamp card. (One activity involves spending $5, so some might say it’s actually a $5 credit.) The four activities include purchasing $5 or more of Prime-eligible items, streaming a show on Prime Video, Listen to songs and borrow a free eBook on Prime Music. Redemption instructions and details are as follows. Please note that if you browse this page without completing step 2, you may be disqualified from the promotion.

  1. Sign in to Amazon with your Prime account. New members get a 30-day free trial.
  2. Go to this page.click Activate Stamp Card. Amazon says, “If you browsed this promotion page and didn’t click ‘Confirm Participation'[Activate] your Stampcard’, you will not be eligible for this promotion. “
  3. Collect all four stamps for your credit by the end of the day on July 13. Your credit will be applied directly to your Amazon account within 48 hours of completing the stamp card.

Scroll to the bottom of this page and click the button to get your free $2 credit. A limited number of points are offered each day, but more points will be added at 8pm ET (5pm PT). Please keep an eye on this page and refresh quickly to try to protect your page.

This promotion starts on July 12th. We don’t like “pay-as-you-go” services because they can be predatory. However, if you use Affirm a lot and you plan to spend $100 or more on Prime Day, this is an easy way to earn $25 in Amazon credit.

Additional benefits for select accounts

The following deals are either for certain types of accounts or invitation only. Your mileage may vary, but if you’re eligible, these can be a great way to get extra benefits.

Amazon Gift Card

This offer is only available to Prime members who purchase a gift card or top up their balance for the first time. It starts on July 12th at 12:01AM ET. Add a $50 Amazon Gift Card to your cart and use the promo code at checkout to receive a $12.50 promotional credit. Alternatively, you can add $50 to your Amazon account here. If you don’t reload, you can email the gift card to yourself. It’s only worth it if you plan to spend at least $50 on Amazon on Prime Day.

If you’ve never logged into the Amazon mobile app before, you possible are eligible to participate in this promotion. Get $15 off your first $25 purchase and $15 off your second purchase of $15 or more. The deal expires on July 31.

Select Accounts get $20 off purchases of $40 or more when uploading photos to Amazon Photos for the first time. Backing up your photos is important, and Amazon Photos is a great alternative to Google Photos, our favorite photo storage service. This credit can only be used on Prime Day, and it’s only worth it if you’re planning to switch to Amazon Photos.

If you have a Discover card, you can add it to your Amazon wallet and use the code 22 found 20 $20 off purchases of $20.01 or more. After adding it to your wallet, pay with the newly added card and use the promo code at checkout to get the discount.

I can’t stress this enough: do not apply Get a $200 gift card with just one credit card. However, if you’ve researched this card thoroughly and are considering applying for one, this promotion will offer eligible customers a free $200 gift card upon approval.
