Here are the reactions of Gigi Hadid, Hailey Bieber, and others to the Kanye West “White Lives Matter” controversy.

During Paris Fashion Week, Kanye West stirred up controversy by donning a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt. Inside, you can read more about the rapper’s criticism.

Rapper Kanye West made a splash at Paris Fashion Week by donning a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt. The rapper received criticism for donning the t-shirt to his brand’s Fashion Week presentation from a number of people, including fashion editor and stylist Gabriella Karefa-Johnson, who was present.

Kanye West responded to Gabriella Karefa-social Johnson’s media complaints about him sporting “White Lives Matter” clothing in the performance by criticizing her online in a string of since-deleted posts. Kanye received criticism from several models and members of the fashion industry, including Vogue magazine, for his social media posts endorsing Karefa-Johnson.

Kanye West is described as a bully by Gigi Hadid.
Gigi Hadid was one of the first well-known figures to criticize Kanye for his posts criticizing Karefa-Johnson for her views on his contentious clothing. Hadid published an Instagram story. The model attacked West while defending Gabriella, labelling him a “bully.” Hadid wrote, “As if the “honor” of being invited to your programme should preclude declining to voice an opinion? Lol. You are a bully and an idiot.”

How Hailey Bieber felt
Another model, Hailey Bieber, endorsed Karefa-Johnson as well. She chose to express her admiration for the fashion critic who had faced harsh criticism from West rather than specifically mentioning Kanye in her post. In her letter of support to Gabriella, Bieber said, “My respect for you runs deep, my friend.

Jodie Turner-Smith calls Kanye a “fake”
Jodie Turner-Smith called Kanye West “disgusting” and “fake” for wearing a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt. The 36-year-old model shared a screenshot of a post from Kanye West’s Instagram account that read, “WHEN I SAID WAR I MEANT WAR,” and criticised the rapper for his statement. She claimed that while the rapper posed wearing the divisive t-shirt, he was trying to “bring people together.” Turner-Smith called West and described him as “fake, disgusting, and embarrassing.”

Later, Kanye West referred to Gabriella as his “sister” on Instagram and stated that the two had met following the controversy and had “apologized” to one another. The rapper claimed that despite their differences, at least they both adore “Ferdie and Fashion.”
