Gigi did not hold back in sharing her experiences when speaking out against the layoffs and other errors committed under the new management when Elon Musk took over. Several well-known people have criticised the Tesla founder since he took over the microblogging platform last week and unfollowed him. The first to announce their departure from the platform in the past have been producers like Shonda Rhimes.

Gigi refers to Twitter as a “cesspool of hatred.”

In light of the widespread layoffs, the 27-year-old supermodel stated on Instagram that she had deleted her Twitter account on Friday. It has been a sewer of hatred and prejudice for a long time, but especially under its new leadership. She added, “I don’t want to be a part of that.” I can’t stay it’s a safe place for anyone, nor a social network that will bring more good than damage, Hadid continued as she apologised to her admirers, with whom she has been engaged on Twitter for more than ten years.

Exit from Twitter of Toni Braxton

One of the celebrities who stepped down from the stage before Hadid was Toni Braxton, a well-known singer. She added in her letter of departure, “Since this platform was acquired, I’ve seen some “free speech” that has startled and sickened me. I have chosen to stay away from Twitter because it is no longer a safe space for me, my sons, and other POC because hate speech masquerading as “free expression” is unbearable.

Producer of Bridgerton Shonda Rhimes declared, “Not hanging around for whatever Elon has planned. Bye. Just a handful of the well-known persons who have spoken out against the new Twitter administration include George Takei, Josh Gad, and Rob Reiner. While this was happening, Musk was rumoured to have taken over the site and removed the restrictions put on Kanye West’s account as a result of his anti-Semitic outbursts. However, the founder of SpaceX denied any involvement in the matter.
