Ezra Miller recently went to a Vermont court and pled not guilty of charges that he committed a break in in which he stole liquor bottles from a house.

In a Vermont court, Miller pleaded not guilty on Monday to burglary charges and petit larceny, Variety reported. Miller has been facing legal troubles since early this year. If convicted of both charges, Miller, who is facing burglary charges for breaking into a Stamford residence in May, could be sentenced to up to 26 years in prison.

The Vermont State Police discovered several missing bottles of alcohol from the property after an investigation, but the homeowners weren’t present when Miller allegedly broke into a Stamford residence on May 1. Collecting statements and watching surveillance footage, the police decided to charge Miller with felony burglary. As per Variety, the lesser petit larceny charge states that the items taken were valued at less than $900 in total.

Ezra Miller’s lawyer speaks out
Following his court appearance today, the actor’s lawyer said, Ezra Miller pled not guilty to one count of burglary and one count of petit larceny in Vermont Superior Court and accepted the court-imposed conditions of not contacting or entering the home of the occupants. The actor would like to acknowledge the love and support he has received from family and friends, who are still with him as he copes with ongoing mental health issues.

Flash 2 is in development
As a result of Miller’s legal controversies, The Flash’s release has already been a talking point. Warner Bros. Discovery is now moving forward on “several fronts” for its A-List characters, including a possible return for Henry Cavill’s Superman and plans for The Flash’s future, according to The Hollywood Reporter. David Leslie and Johnson-McGoldrick are said to have written the script for The Flash 2. Until then, look forward to The Flash arriving next year.

The actor has been in the news since earlier this year for multiple legal controversies, including his arrests in Hawaii for disorderly conduct and second-degree assault. In August, Ezra apologized for their past behaviour and opened up about undergoing mental health treatment in a statement that said, I am deeply sorry for what we said and did. Getting healthy, getting back to safety, and regaining my sense of self-worth is my top priority.
