During a recent interview, Elizabeth Olsen was questioned on whether she was considered for a part in House of the Dragon’s upcoming season, to which she replied no.
So far, the first season of House of the Dragon has been well-received and the show has garnered great reviews from critics as well as audiences. The HBO series has already announced the second season, and recent reports suggest that Marvel star Elizabeth Olsen might play a key role. The second season of the series was also rumored to be in the works for Henry Cavill.
After being such an intelligent and lovely presence in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, her inclusion in the production of House of the Dragon is said to be unsurprising for die-hard fans. At Variety’s Power of Women event in Los Angeles, the actress finally spoke out in reaction to the ongoing rumors. When ET asked if she had been approached for Season 2 of House of the Dragon, Olsen replied, “I don’t know how rumours start, and then people believe them.”
Olsen originally auditioned for the role of Daenerys Targaryen in the television series, Game of Thrones. However, she didn’t get the part; Emilia Clarke did. Although in the case of House of the Dragon, the actress addressed reports about her being cast in the show and clarified, It was mentioned, and that’s weird, because I don’t know anything about that, via Entertainment Tonight.
When asked if she would be game to play a part if something came up, Elizabeth replied, with optimism, I would do anything that is innovative and has a story worth telling. Currently, Matt Smith, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke and Paddy Considine star in House of the Dragon’s first season.
