Diana RossAt 78, she was a beautiful sight on her latest stage performance. The singer performed at the 2022 NN North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam on July 7, wearing a red sequined gown with tulle sleeves. She also wore a matching red bamboo fan, which she opened on the show, sporting elegant makeup, including red lipstick, that brought out some of her best features.
The beauty also wore diamond jewelry, and her curly black hair fell as she sang some of her biggest hits during her long career. She had a big smile as she strutted on stage in front of a cheering and happy crowd. The backup singer also happily joined her and helped her with the beautiful tunes.
Diana’s latest performance comes after she helped Queen Elizabeth II Celebrate the 70th anniversary of her iconic reign at the Platinum Jubilee Celebration on June 4. Celebrations included a Platinum Party at the Royal Palace featuring performances by a number of artists, including Diana. Diana took to the stage to sing hits like “Chain Reaction” and “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough.” She looked incredible as she sang a tune in a voluminous black and white dress and long silver earrings.
Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee is a four-day festival that kicks off on Thursday, June 2. It begins with a birthday parade for the monarch, who turns 96 in April. The royals stood front and centre as they celebrated this special occasion with Queen Elizabeth. On June 3, members of the royal family attended more public events in honor of the Queen.
Meanwhile, in addition to Diana, other performers at the June 4 concert include: Elton John, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Alicia Keys, Adam Lambert and more. The concert was broadcast on BBC One, with three stages of concerts throughout the evening. More than 20,000 people attended the exhibition.
“I’ve had the privilege of seeing the Queen many times in my life, including when I’m with my family,” Diana said. “Her Majesty continues to be such an incredible inspiration to so many people around the world, and I am absolutely delighted to receive an invitation to perform on such an important and historic occasion.”
However, the main event on the long weekend is the Jubilee celebration on Sunday 5 June. A carnival parade was held to commemorate the Queen’s 70 years of service. Queen Elizabeth officially celebrated her 70th anniversary in February, making her the first British monarch to reach a platinum jubilee.
In May, she also reached another milestone, becoming the third longest reigning monarch after serving 70 years and 92 days. Later this month, once she hits 70 years and 127 days, she’ll be in second place. However, to win the title, Queen Elizabeth must be 72 years and 111 days old.
