Throughout the voting process, readers were asked to rank individual cruise ships in different categories based on ship occupancy, as large and small ships offer very different atmospheres and experiences for passengers.

A single cruise ship can represent multiple categories, depending on the individual ship that is rated.

This is especially true for large cruise fleets, where vessels range in very large sizes, such as Royal Caribbean International. This The largest Royal Caribbean ship is wonders of the sea Has 2,867 cabins (giant ships), while the smallest is the magnificence of the ocean Only 996 cabins (large ships).

The three boat winners were separated by just 2.89 points, with Windstar Cruises and Seabourn just behind Paul Gauguin Cruises.
