Celebrities get real about plastic surgery: ‘Good plastic surgery, you can’t tell’

Celebrity plastic surgery has long been a taboo subject, but stars are starting to talk openly about jobs they’ve or haven’t had.

Celebrities go to extremes, from busy Phillips, who claims she has never done any work, to Heidi Montag Pratt, who once performed 10 operations in one day.

As for what surgeries the celebrities do, Dr. Paul S. Nassif, MD, FACS and star of “Botched!” Explaining to Fox News Digital, the focus now is on the eyes.

“Eyes are the new lips since everyone wore masks,” Dr Nassif said.

In addition to eyelid rejuvenation, Nassif points to other common celebrity procedures including a deep plane facelift or a deep plane face and neck lift. He stressed that the look was “very natural”.

“Good plastic surgery, you can’t tell. It’s important to know that,” Nassif said.

Busy Phillips recently insisted she hasn’t had any plastic surgery.

“People actually accused me of working,” she recalled, before saying she had “no Botox, no fillers.”

While Phillips said she “has no judgment” about women undergoing plastic surgery, she’s not particularly fond of younger women trying plastic surgery.

“I’m disappointed when very young women start using their faces for sex,” Phillips said during an appearance on the “Not Thin But Not Fat” podcast.

“My face as a teenager is completely different from my face today because of having kids, hormones, losing and gaining weight, exercising. Structurally, I can’t even explain to you how different I look now.”

Khloe Kardashian has been accused of performing various jobs, including face transplants. The “Kardashian” star shot down rumors during her “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” reunion with Andy Cohen.

“Everyone said, ‘Oh my God, she’s had her third face transplant.’ But I had a nose job. [with] Dr. Raj Kanodia,” Kardashian explained.

“Everybody was upset, like, why don’t I talk about it?” Kardashian added. “You were the first person in the interview to ask me about my nose. Of course I had injections – not real Botox. I had a terrible reaction to Botox.”

Khloe recently thanked her plastic surgeon for her “perfect” nose after Kanodia wished her a happy birthday on Instagram.

Model Tyra Banks admitted to having her nose done in a 2018 interview with People magazine.

“The bone in my nose was growing and itching,” Banks explained. “I could breathe, but I had plastic surgery. I admit it! A wig, I had a nose. I feel like I have a duty to tell the truth.”

However, Banks believes that women should not be judged for getting their jobs done.

“Fix it or show it off — I think women should be able to do both,” she admits.

“There’s a dividing line, either you’re supernatural or you live with a plastic surgeon. It’s okay to jump back and forth on that line. You want a hair braid? Okay. You want permanent brows? Okay. We Being a woman needs to stop judging.”

Heidi Montag Pratt had 10 surgeries on the same day in 2010 at the age of 23. These procedures include rhinoplasty revision, mini brow lift, breast augmentation revision, liposuction and chin reduction.

At the time, Montag told PEOPLE that she had never felt “more beautiful or sexier.” In retrospect, however, Montag admits she was “too young” to make these decisions about her looks.

“I was too young to make such a life-changing decision and was under tremendous pressure because this was the beginning of negativity and hate in the comment section and on the internet,” Montag told Cosmopolitan. “I was really ego at the time – like a lot of young people – but I was also on TV and every perceived flaw was magnified. I felt like I was looking in the mirror a little too much. I wish I waited Didn’t make the decision so young because I have long-term health complications.”

“We’re going to get old and things go south, and that’s okay. It’s part of life.”

Ashley Tisdale had nose surgery in 2007. Despite claiming it was done to correct breathing problems at the age of 20, the “High School Musical” star has faced a media backlash.

In 2021, she made the criticism public in an article on her website.

“Plastic surgery is not as culturally acceptable as it is now,” Teasdale wrote. “When I finished it, I was scrutinized, judged, and ashamed of my decision. I made a decision that was nobody’s business (and still nobody’s business), and about that decision I often felt Sad about it.

“I spent years dealing with this experience — and I don’t think it’s a big deal,” she added.

While Megan Fox advocates letting women decide if they want to get the job done, the actress did recommend getting treatment before surgery.

“I would encourage anyone to talk to a therapist first and try to figure out where this need comes from, because a lot of times it has nothing to do with your teeth, nose or jaw. Surgery is not going to alleviate that insecurity for you,” Fox told Allure magazine in 2010.

“If, then, you think, ‘This is what I want to do,’ then do it. It’s amazing that we have the technology to do what we do.”
