bollywood: Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh buys Rs 119-crore luxury quadruplex in Mumbai’s Bandra


Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh has purchased a luxury four-person apartment with sea views in Sagar Resham, a super-premium residential tower in Bandstand, Mumbai’s luxurious Bandra district, for Rs 1.19 crore, making it one of the most expensive deals for a single-residential apartment anywhere. One is domestic.

Interestingly, in addition to directly facing the sea, it is also located between Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence at Galaxy and Shah Rukh Khan’s bungalow, Mannat.

Spread over the 16th, 17th, 18th and 19th floors of the tower, the apartment has a total of 11,266 square feet of carpeted area and 1,300 square feet of exclusive patio. The transaction was valued at over $100,000 psf, in line with ongoing property prices nearby.

Singh bought the apartment through a company called Oh Five Oh Media Works LLP, which counts Singh and his father Jugjeet Sunder Singh Bhavnani as directors. The company has paid a total stamp duty worth Rs 713 crore on transactions completed through two separate agreements.

The transaction agreement between Singh and seller Enorm Nagpal Realty LLP was registered on Friday, July 8, according to documents accessed through Indextap.com. As part of the deal, Singh will receive exclusive access to a total of 19 parking spaces in the building.

Since his debut in 2010, Singh has been one of the highest-paid and busiest entertainers in the Hindi film industry.

Separate email queries sent by ET to partners at Jugjeet Sundersingh Bhavnani and Enorm Nagpal Realty remained unanswered by press time.

Mumbai, the largest and most expensive property market in the country, has recently been setting a new benchmark for property transactions after the state government announced limited window stamp duty relief for 2020.

The important but limited stamp duty relief window that ends on 31 March 2021 is a catalyst for the city’s residential market. While stamp duty refunds are now unavailable, transactions continue to pour in.
