Anil Kapoor Recalls His Best Films


Anil Kapoor recently worked in Bollywood for 39 years. He played the lead role in his first Hindi film in Woh Saat Din (1983) and went on to make some blockbuster advertising classics such as Mr India, Ram Lahan, Beta, Nayak and many more.

After 39 years in Bollywood, Anil cherishes his journey and has named some of his best films. He said in an interview: “It was an amazing experience. The journey from Woh Saat Din to JugJugg Jeeyo was amazing. I have a few memorable movies so far. Some of them are karma, Mr. India, Lambe, 1942: A Love Story, Parinda, Ram Lakhan, Tezaab, Eeshwar, Beta, Slumdog Millionaire, Dil Dhadakne Do, Welcome, No Entry and Nayak. There are so many movies.”

“Now it’s Thar, AK to AK, JugJugg Jeeyo. What more can be asked for? Bahut diya dene vaale ne, aanchal mein hi na samaay. Shukriya – that’s what I have to say to everyone,” he further added.

Talking about his Hollywood journey and setting a benchmark for others, he said, “I’ve been fortunate enough to work in some international films. Such films make around Rs 5,000 crore and I’m just a small part of that. So, I’ve been lucky enough to get movies like Mission: Impossible 4 and Slumdog Millionaire.”

The latest version of Anil Kapoor is “JugJugg Jeeyo”. This is a family drama directed by Raj Mehta. The film also stars Varun Dhawan, Kiara Advani, Neetu Kapoor, Maniesh Paul and Prajakta Koli. He now has four more films in the pipeline.
