Many Bollywood stars and other celebrities, including political leaders, took to their social media accounts to mourning the loss of life on Saturday morning. Lavina prayed and remembered the trapped pilgrims as she reacted to news reports and wrote a simple “prayer.”
Meanwhile, actor Akshay Kumar tweeted: “Deeply saddened by the death of Baltar near the holy cave of the #Amarnath temple after heavy rain. Prayers for everyone’s peace and safety.” Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit “Prayers for #AmarnathYatris who are facing serious problems due to cloud breakout near #Amarnath. May #bholenath baba protect you during this difficult time,” tweeted.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also offered his condolences to the victims in a tweet, saying: “Painful over the outbreak of dark clouds near Shree Amarnath cave. Condolences to the families of the deceased. Speak to Manoj Sinha ji and assess the situation. Rescue and rescue operations are underway. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected.”
Earlier this week, the Amarthnath yatra, which started on June 30, was suspended halfway due to bad weather. According to reports, yatra has now been fully suspended. While rescue operations are currently underway, at least 13 people were reportedly killed and 15,000 pilgrims trapped.
