After winning her first Emmy for Adele: One Night Only, Adele posted photographs of herself with the trophy.
Adele has now been recognized as an Emmy winner, and she will shortly achieve the EGOT rank. Following the 2022 Creative Arts Emmy Awards, where Adele: One Night Only was one of the night’s top victors with 5 major prizes, the singer recently posted photographs on Instagram of herself with the Emmy trophy.
On Instagram, she posted the following to share her joy: “Bloody hell, I’m overjoyed! I appreciate @mrbenwinston sending this my way this afternoon. You can count on me to have an EGO.” Adele also mentioned one of the Adele: One Night Only executive producers in her article. Adele received the Emmy for outstanding variety show (pre-recorded) at the Creative Arts Emmys presentation.
Adele: One Night Only also won for best directing of a variety special, best sound mixing for a variety series or special, best lighting design/lighting direction for a variety special, and best technical direction, camerawork, and video control for a special.
Fans of the singer noticed right away that she hasn’t received a Tony Award, which would give her the EGOT designation since she has already received 15 Grammy Awards and an Oscar. Adele’s most recent award-winning special, One Night Only, debuted in November 2021 and included 10 performances, including four songs from her most recent album 30, as well as a sit-down conversation with Oprah Winfrey in which the artist talked about both her personal and professional lives.
