Liger has been a huge hit with fans. There were high expectations of the trailer before its release and after people saw it they said it would be a blockbuster. But it became a point of contention when it released its song Aafat. The use of a few lines in the film has made some viewers unhappy and they say it’s promoting rape culture.

BollywoodLife, on Twitter, conducted a poll and inquired of netizens whether the song promoted rape culture. Or if people just need to calm down. A lot of the results came back unexpectedly. The percentage of people who answered in disagreement is almost half. Forty-seven point nine percent of votes favored Yes, it does while fifty-two point one percent favored No, people need to calm down. The poll results are listed below

There has been a BoycottLiger trend on the internet as well, but Vijay Deverakonda is not a victim of it. The actor revealed that he is not scared of the boycott trend and the team has spent a lot of time and effort in making Liger. He was quoted saying, If I had nothing, I didn’t feel afraid, and now that I have achieved something, I don’t feel any fear. God’s grace, your love, and my actions allow us to live on and do what we please.
