Many of us grew up taking inspiration from Bollywood movies to learn a little bit about love. Hindi movies know how to stay grand and romantic, which is why most marriage proposal scenes in movies are anything but subtle. But imagine if they weren’t movies and real life, they probably wouldn’t all be successful. From simply getting a “no” to ending up in chaos or drama, many things can happen.
These are some scenarios that might be completely far from a “perfect” IRL:
1. Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na
While we can’t recover from the proposal scene Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, there are many chances to fail in real life. Jai sneaks into the airport to meet Aditi, and while it’s very romantic, outside of the fictional world, Jai gets caught and arrested for violating multiple rules and laws. Additionally, Aditi may have been on the flight, only to find out after landing in New York.
2. 2 states
In the film, Chrissy realizes that he wants to get married while Ananya is being interviewed. He then enters the room and proposes her to do a halfway interview – which gives us a “wow”. However, imagine this happening in a real scenario. Recruiters certainly wouldn’t like this intervention, which could easily lead them to drop Ananya as a candidate. Even if the two do eventually get married, the story of their proposal would never be a happy reminder.
3. Jab Harry meets Sejal
Jab Harry meets Sejal There’s also one of those overly romantic proposals, but that too depends a lot on timing. Harry decides to fly to India on his wedding day and propose. Imagine doing this, as life is usually anti-climate, Harry will arrive at the venue very late, maybe after Sejal gets married, or even if he will arrive on time, she can easily say ‘no”.
There is no doubt that Imtiaz Ali has style, which is why the big romantic moves in his films are both subtle and grand.exist Tamasa, Vader finally makes a deal with himself and his father, which makes him realize he made a mistake with Tara. He then travels all the way to Tokyo to propose to Tara. However, it’s entirely possible that after what happened to them, she’ll start seeing other people, or will tell him she doesn’t want to get married.
5. Kuch Kuch Hota Hai
The whole movie leads to Rahul and Anjali finally coming together. And it all happened at Anjali and Aman’s wedding. In real life, Rahul doesn’t go camping with his daughter, which means he doesn’t meet Anjali. Likewise, when Rahul finally confesses how he feels, otherwise it all goes away completely. She would be very pissed at the “realization” of the whole post. Don’t get married, Anjali probably won’t see him because he’s superficial.
6. Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani
like a movie, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani There is no most practical advice, nor the entire foundation of a relationship. Most of the time, people make these decisions based on their personal expectations for life — definitely not after two meetings separated by years. In fact, Naina and Bunny would think they wanted something really different, and the fact that they barely knew each other. Rabbits will leave without cake on New Year’s Eve.
7. Rab and Jody’s Children
There’s no denying that SRK is the king of romance, which is why we got an ending like we did, and, in fact, it’s a movie. However, if this is the case, Raj is likely to leave and definitely not on the final day of the race. That means Tani won’t propose to him like she did. Instead, she’ll have to stalk him and hope he still wants a relationship.
cocktail There are some good moments and things, but Saif Ali Khan’s Gautam is definitely not one of them. Let’s face it, Veronica is wrong. So, his grand gesture of proposing to Mila with Veronica’s help doesn’t work in real life. After the whole mess, he confidently walks up to her, which may seem romantic, but in reality, Meera would want him to leave. Especially after he was so condescending that he almost played them both.
9. Breaking Kobard
While this is one of the few Bollywood films that understands the need for an exit, the proposal is definitely quite dramatic when it matters. Abhay married Aaliya without even telling her, thank goodness it all went well. However, after being told to move on, Abhay would never have a wedding just to make Aaliya realize they belong together. Especially not having the confidence to put her name on the card.
10. Anjaana Anjaani
Anjana Anjani There is another proposal scenario that is primarily time-based. First, Kiara or Akash can easily miss each other on the bridge because they have no connection. Also, after jumping into the sea, at the time, if it wasn’t a Bollywood movie, they could have been arrested or at least questioned. This is definitely not going to end as Akash planned.
that cinematic urge to travel satsamandapal Bring up “that” instead of calling them.
